GPS Data Collection

First of all, before carrying this activity we were place in groups of three. Hence, we collect X and Y data in the University of Belize campus, using the handheld GPS. We collect three trees, one road and one building. Once our lecturer created the main shapefile needed and from that we created three different shapefiles. Now, we were to use this shape to create shape files specifically for trees, roads and Buildings .In these shape file we added a field: for trees we added a species and height , for roads we added road condition, and for Building we added Name and Areas. On the other hand, adding the non-spatial data we also had to change the feature type. (Road is a polyline, building is a polygon and trees are points), thIs shapefile were created using arc catalog and then put it in the arc map. With the use of the arc map we connected the points of the building and the road to create a polygon and polyline. Moreover, we insert the Title, Scale Text and Bar, Legend, North Arrow and Inset Map.
